Dana White claims Jon Jones overwhelmingly beat Francis Ngannou, similar to Bones’ two-minute submission win over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285

Dana said, “I’m not interested.” “I’ve been trying to fight this fight for two years. He didn’t want the fight. You know what I mean? He didn’t want the fight and he walked out of here without even making another deal. And I know how the boxing world is, it’s crazy, but Francis didn’t want to [fight Jones].”

According to White, fans shouldn’t expect too much as he believes Ngannou would have been an easy opponent for the GOAT fight had gone [Francis] was in there too.”

Dana White explains his statement through logic

Dana used some MMA logic to explain why Ngannou would not have stood a good chance against Jon Jones. At UFC 285, Jon defeated Ciryl and got him to tap in just over 2 minutes making it look easy.

“[Francis] and Ciryl had a five round war, and if Ciryl doesn’t choose that submission then Ciryl is likely to win that fight. At the end of the 5th round there.”

Franz Ngannou

FYI, Ngannou won her previous fight at UFC 270 via unanimous decision even though it was a close match. As for the rumored fight between Stipe Miocic and Jones at UFC 290 on July 8th. Dana said nothing is set in stone and there isn’t much time left to close a deal.

White also said he wouldn’t be in shock if this was Jones’ last fight.
