BOISE, Idaho – For the second week in a row and for the third time this season, Boise State started Jonah Dalmas was named Lou Groza “Star of the Week.” The award follows his impeccable performance in Friday’s win over Wyoming on The Blue.
College Football’s Top Scorer Award, the Palm Beach County Athletic Commission’s Top Free Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl, recognizes the three best kickers each week from FBS teams as “Star of the week.”
Dalmas attempted three of the three goals in the Broncos’ 23-13 win over the Cowboys (November 12), including one 43 yards out at half-time, giving Blue and Orange the lead. . they didn’t give up.
Prize semifinalist Lou Groza also made a 38- and 29-yard effort and two PATs.
Dalmas has now scored 14 consecutive goals on the field, which is the fourth longest streak in the national arena. He is second nationally in goals per game (2.20) in 2021 and 12th nationally in scoring (9.9 points per game).
His on-field scoring rate of 0.917 (22 to 24) ranks him ninth nationally and his career goal ratio of 0.906 (29 to 32) leads all footballers main in the country.
The Meridian, Idaho native was previously named “Star of the Week” following his performances in week two (UTEP) and week 10 (Fresno State).
