After a frustrating spell in rugby union, rumors are growing that former NRL star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is set to make a sensational return to rugby league.

The 2018 Dally M winner was at the peak of his powers in 2021 when he played for the Warriors but switched to rugby union mid-season, signing with the Auckland Blues.

‘RTS’, as he is commonly known, made his All Blacks debut last year and has played three games for the side and with the Rugby World Cup later this year many believe he will not make the New Zealand squad .

Tuivasa-Sheck was a star in the NRL, making his debut for the Sydney Roosters in 2012 before playing for the Warriors from 2016.

Speaking on SEN radio, Roosters great Bryan Fletcher believes rumors are swirling the 29-year-old will make a sensational return to the club.

“The rumors I keep hearing are that Roger (Tuivasa-Sheck) is going back to the Chooks. I keep hearing that,” Fletcher said on SEN.

“If we go over to our Kiwi friends I’ll ask them because the rumors are getting louder.

“I’m not killing you, the rumors are getting very, very strong.”

The Roosters currently have one of the strongest backlines in the NRL with James Tedesco, Joseph Suaali’i, Daniel Tupou and Joseph Manu, and salary cap pressures could force one of their stars to move on.
