Shown through a trailer as part of GamesRadar’s Future of Games Show on Thursday, Cog is an upcoming post-apocalyptic platformer from developer Demagog Studio and publisher Untold Tales.
Combining a heavy story with a light visual style, the game seems to be inspired by the classic Disney platformer of the 90s. Forest book – includes genre staples like swings on vines and rides on mine carts – while telling a story that seems a little less playful.
According to GamesRadar, the game is set in the same world as Demagog Golf Club: Wasteland – a game in which rich people fly to Mars to avoid the apocalypse, then return to Earth to play golf (at which point things get out of hand). For some reason, CubThe main character’s protagonist doesn’t need a hazmat suit to breathe on Earth, so people in hazmat suits are after him trying to figure out why.
Cub is headed to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC, with no release date announced at the moment.
