Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Manchester United to consider suitable offers coming in for him this summer, believing he cannot fulfill his ambitions of claiming silverware and personal awards Old Trafford next season. Only at this stage Chelsea and Paris St Germain have the will and finances to close a deal and if reports are to be believed, the former are preparing an opening offer.

However, former Chelsea defender and rebel William Gallas believes Cristiano Ronaldo would not suit Thomas Tuchel ‘Mobile Front Three’ Playing style despite the goals the Portugal international brings to the table.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a world-class player and everyone knows he wants to play Champions League football. I don’t think he would suit Chelsea. Cristiano and Thomas Tuchel should have a good conversation because if Chelsea really want to sign him, they have to talk about everything.” Gallas told in a recent interview.

But he also claimed Ronaldo’s arrival will improve the performances of the currently underheated Chelsea attack. “If Ronaldo signs for Chelsea, I’m sure the other players will learn a lot from him and I’m sure he’ll score goals because the players around him will give him a lot of chances.”

Although Ronaldo was heavily criticized for Manchester United’s disastrous last season, William Gallas believes it was his team-mates who let the team down on the pitch. “Ronaldo is now 37 and while people know he still has the quality because he was Man United’s top scorer last season, for some reason fans still complained about him and I haven’t understood why, because the problem was that the players around him weren’t increasing their level of performance.”

“Cristiano is top class Players and when you play with players like him you have to improve your game and some of the players didn’t do that, maybe because of too much pressure or maybe because they just weren’t good enough.
