Cristiano Ronaldo fails to score again in his second game for Al Nassr, losing 3-1 in the Supercup semifinals

Cristiano Ronaldo has yet again failed to score as CR7’s new club Al Nassr failed to get past Al Ittihad and are now eliminated from the prestigious Arabian tournament.

Ronaldo made his debut for Al Nassr against Al Ettifaq and the Portuguese sensation was prevented from scoring by Ettifaq defenders but the leaders prevailed and won 1-0.

The Arabian Super Cup is one of the most important tournaments as the top four teams of their respective seasons compete to give their word further authority.

Al Nassr drew against Al Ittihad and the two heavyweights met at King Fahd International Stadium where CR7 shone against PSG but failed to produce the same impact last night.

Ronaldo left in shock as Ittihad’s side scored twice in the first half thanks to Romainho’s and Hamdala’s brilliant finishes, while they moved the ball carefully and controlled the game exceptionally.

Rudi Garcia wanted reaction from his players in the second half and much more urgency in their style of play got them a goal back after Anderson scored Talisca in the 67th minute.

Ronaldo was absolutely blown away during his performance and the legendary footballer looked frustrated while it will be his second consecutive gap which didn’t help Al Nassr’s cause at all.

Earlier, Al Feiha had a shocker after beating tournament favorites Al Hilal 1-0 and it looked like Al Nassr shared the same fate as his rival and now both giants are eliminated from the tournament.

Cristiano Ronaldo was handed the captain’s armband by manager Rudi Garcia on his arrival at the new club and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is yet to break the ban for Al Nassr.

However, fans were electrified throughout the game as they greeted their hero and throughout the 90 minutes, Ronaldo received a reception that could be described as ‘unreachable’.

The semi-final elimination of the Arabian Super Cup will surely add fuel to the fire and the Portuguese will look to return to his peak form and continue the legacy he set.
