Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 12

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – twelfthNS The week of the National Football League season ended on Monday. Here are some highlights of former Crimson Tide players now in the NFL.

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones continues to impress. Jones helped extend the Patriots’ winning streak to six with a win over the Tennessee Titans. The first-year signal caller completed 23/32 passes in 310 yards and two touchdowns. He also leads the league in passer ratings for Week 12 thanks to an impressive 123.2 record.

Duo Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle had another impressive performance in the Miami Dolphins’ win over the Carolina Panthers. Tagovailoa completed 27/31 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown. Waddle, who has established himself as Tagovailoa’s No. 1 target, made nine catches at 137 yards and one touchdown.

On the ground, Josh Jacobs delivered a solid performance for the Las Vegas Raiders. Jacobs dashed 22 times in 87 yards and one touchdown, while scoring a pair of receptions in 25 yards. Thanks in part to Jacobs’ efforts, the Raiders were able to win Thanksgiving Day over the Dallas Cowboys.

Several former Alabama defensive linemen wreaked havoc in the second game last weekend. Leading the group is Patrick Surtain II by the Denver Broncos. The rookie’s big day was marked by two interceptions, including a successful 70-meter intercept for a touchdown. Surtain II also added five tackles and split into two passes.

Ronnie Harrison led Cleveland in contention with the highest 14 stops in the Monday Night Football League. The veteran safety force also broke a pass and blocked another for the Browns. Joining Harrison from safety are Minkah Fitzpatrick and Xavier McKinney. Fitzpatrick counted eight tackles with one interception and one missed pass for the Pittsburgh Steelers, while McKinney scored eight tackles, picked up a pass and parted two passes for the New York Giants.
