Cowboys fans hit new low, throwing trash at Dak Prescott, who runs off the field injured

Dak Prescott walked out of the Cowboys’ season opener with a hand injury, but classless Dallas fans threw trash at the quarterback as he ran to the locker room.

On a night at AT&T Stadium when the Dallas Cowboys managed just three points in a 16-point loss with poor offensive play across the board and running defense that most resembled broken saloon doors hanging open on a hinge, the ugliest thing that happened still somehow came from the fans.

Late in the slog for Dallas, quarterback Dak Prescott had his hand met by Buccaneers defensive end Shaq Barrett. He tried to play it through but soon went to the sidelines to see the coaches and then left the game to go to the dressing room. He didn’t come back.

But when Prescott ran into the locker room with coaches, Arlington Cowboys fans scratched the bottom of the barrel in terms of behavior as they began throwing trash at the star quarterback.

Cowboys fans show their worst side by throwing trash at injured Dak Prescott

For a fan base that often pokes fun at Philadelphia for the behavior of their fans, this is absolutely despicable. First, there’s never any reason to throw trash at players from the stands. But it’s especially reprehensible considering this is your own quarterback, even if he had a terrible game by his standards.

To make matters worse, the injury wasn’t easy. After the game, Jerry Jones told reporters that the quarterback would be out for several weeks because of the injury as he required surgery.

This is a terrible day for Cowboys fans and they were at their worst when it happened. Cowboys fans hit new low, throwing trash at Dak Prescott, who runs off the field injured
