Coroner’s Report Released for Late NFL Quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

DAVIE, FL. (WSVN) – The coroner’s office released its report on the death of NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. on Monday afternoon.

Haskins was killed early in the morning of April 9th.

The Florida Highway Patrol said he tried to cross Interstate 595 near Fort Lauderdale, where he was hit by a dump truck and died at the scene.

According to the toxicology report, Haskins had a blood alcohol level of between 0.20 and 0.24. His urine also tested positive for the drug ketamine, which is used to induce and maintain anesthesia.

The cause of death was confirmed as multiple blunt force injuries from the impact.

The report also includes new information that was not previously known.

Before his death, Haskins had been drinking at a club and was in the company of a female companion.

His wife Kalabrya was back home in Pittsburgh when she called the police because he didn’t return her calls.
