Olympios first rose to fame when she appeared on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, where the 31-year-old received backlash for her behavior, with many even calling her the season’s “bad guy.”

After being sent home after visiting her hometown, she was invited to take part in the spin-off series Bachelor In Paradise. It was at this point that she became involved in a scandal with another contestant, DeMario Jackson, which led to Warner Bros. stopping filing files and opening an internal investigation into a sexual encounter between the two.

At the time of the incident, Olympios released a statement that said: “I am a victim and have spent the last week trying to understand what happened on June 4th. Although I can hardly remember that night, something bad happened. I understand why production of the show has now halted and a producer has filed a complaint against the production.”

The investigation eventually came to a conclusion, after which Olympios faced backlash for describing herself as a victim, prompting her to release a second statement in which she explained: “Then I saw myself as a victim of something so serious You and the media portray you in a certain way that you know you are not, and all of these people are making their judgments and comments and not even knowing what happened or was going on.”

“I’m a victim of that. I never meant I was a victim of DeMario. I firmly believe that he had no ill intentions at all. It was all good. It was unfortunate that nobody knew how drunk I was at the time,” she concluded.

Corinne Olympios has not returned to The Bachelor series. Instead, she’s focused on her social media career and her business, Aura Sugar Co.
