Cooler temperatures, showers and thunderstorms move into Greeley and Weld County – Greeley Tribune

Thursday with very different weather in Greeley and Weld County.
The high temperatures that were (seemingly) a fixture of the summer of 2022 are set to return soon – as early as this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service calls for highs in the high 80s to low and mid 90s for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
While Greeley hit nearly 90 degrees on Wednesday — 89.6 a few times during the day — the area isn’t expected to break 80 degrees on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service updated a flood monitor Thursday morning to include neighboring Larimer and Boulder counties. Portions of Weld County’s northwestern, northeastern and southern portions of the county are included in a dangerous flash flood monitor and flood monitor weather forecast issued late Thursday morning.
The flood watch extends into the evening for portions of the city’s corridor, primarily west of I-25 and north of I-70, according to the weather service.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., the NWS issued a flood warning for Logan, Morgan and Washington counties with excessive rainfall.
The National Weather Service is calling for showers and thunderstorms for most of the afternoon, into Thursday evening and into the early hours of Friday morning.
The daytime sky on Thursday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high of 78 degrees.
Thursday morning was noticeably cooler with a temperature of just under 61 degrees at around 11am

Warmer days or more ideal days are announced from Friday. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a peak near 81 and a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midday.
Warm-up picks up on Saturday with a high near 88.
