“It’s like my energy and focus is being used in a positive way instead of, like, anxious or full of ‘I have to do this right. I had to make it perfect,” Greene said. “It was a failed game. You cannot judge yourself too much”.
“I love having him around,” said Orioles manager Brandon Hyde. “He brings life to the field. He brings life to the club. He’s jovial. He let loose. He really likes the game. He plays the game for a 13-year-old out there.”
“It fills my heart,” says Greene. “I’m so grateful.”
Greene’s attitude has helped him weather the waves of career ups and downs that have seen him drafted, traded, and bounced from team to team when claiming exemptions.
But Greene says he’s as proud as ever to don O’s uniform. He says he hopes he can make Baltimore a place he can stay.
