Comedian nephew Tommy reveals he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and beat it

Comedian and radio personality Nephew Tommy is on the road to recovery after recently announcing that not only has he been diagnosed with thyroid cancer but is now in remission.

In an Instagram post this week, longtime comedian and “Steve Harvey Morning Show” co-host née Thomas Miles thanked his wife Jacqueline Miles for her help in a heartfelt message, before revealing on “Jacqueline 18”. In May 2022 I received the call that I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. An operation was performed on August 24, 2022. ALL CANCER IS 100% GONE. No chemotherapy needed.”

He continued, “GOD IS IN THE BLESSING BUSINESS. My voice is slowly coming back. Get ready… I’ll grab the mic one more time.” The 55-year-old added, “If I can be an example for someone. Keep an eye on your health. Get checked up regularly. It helps to already know God…it helps to already have a relationship with God. That way he knows exactly who you are when you call him.”

The comedian’s comments sections were filled with well wishes and warm remarks from fans and colleagues, including fellow entertainer DL Hughley, who wrote: “Prayers for a speedy recovery. God is good.”

Award-winning gospel singer-songwriter Erica Campbell wrote, “Tommy!!! I’m so glad to hear you hit it!! I am praying for a full recovery and healing and restoration in your body!!”

“So glad to hear you beat cancer!!!” commented one fan. “Keep trusting in our Heavenly Father, he will never leave your side. Love you and all the joy you bring us in the morning.” Another added, “My brother… Nupe, prayers are raised for a speedy recovery.”

“OMG! Thank god you were there and caught it in time! Sending you healing energy and a full recovery,” a third supporter commented. “My my my! Speechless! AH-AMAZING! Thank you for your wonderful wondrous testimony! # Breathe. A purposeful and complete healing.”

In another post, the comedian paid homage to his “uncle” Steve and his other “Steve Harvey Morning Show” co-hosts – Shirley Strawberry and J. Anthony Brown, Jr. and Carla Ferrell.

“To EVERYONE in my village who has cared for me, prayed for me, visited me… I am humbled and grateful to have you in my life.” He added, “For those who are experiencing difficulties in your life going through times or a big storm… best I can tell you.
