Colorado Softball Academy Hosts Open House, Grand Opening

Softball students have the opportunity to expand their athletic skills at a new academy.

The Colorado Softball Academy will host its grand opening and open house in Loveland on August 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a new 44,500 square foot facility designed to train young softball players. The event is open to the public and features raffles, softball competitions — like seeing if guests can meet a Division I pitcher — food, and seminars on mental performance and recruiting.

Ashlie Goble Rowley, a former Florida catcher and native of Colorado, founded the academy to give girls the opportunity to learn various life skills, such as confidence and leadership, while strengthening their athletic skills.

The academy will include play, training and mentoring opportunities for athletes ages 4 through college. Its mission is to develop players emotionally, physically and emotionally.

Rowley played with the Gators from 2002 to 2005 and held the program record for highest fielding percentage in a season. She also has the second-highest Fielding percentage in school history. She had a perfect fielding percentage in 2003 and finished her career at .994 with just two penalties.

After her athletic career, Rowley was a research assistant in Tennessee and has worked as a personal trainer for over a decade.

The Colorado Softball Academy is located at 5443 Earhart Rd. in Loveland. More information about the facility is available online at Colorado Softball Academy Hosts Open House, Grand Opening
