Coles supermarket recall: Nationwide snack recalled for false allergen information

A popular snack sold in Coles supermarkets nationwide has been recalled after an allergen was not listed on its packaging.

Calbee Harvest Snaps Vegemite was recalled by the federal food safety agency Wednesday night.

The recall affects products with a best before date of August 28, 2023 and August 29, 2023.

It’s being recalled because gluten isn’t listed on the nutritional information panel.

“Any consumer who has a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” Food Standards Australia said.

“Consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and return it to the point of sale for a full refund.”
