BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Tuesday was very cold but sunny and dry with a high of just 28 degrees. After a cold and icy start, Wednesday will turn a lot warmer as our winds will turn West or Southwest during the day.
Our normal high is currently 43 and we anticipate a peak of 44! On Thursday, a few more clouds will appear, but we anticipate reaching the mid-40s as well.
On Friday, cooler air will return, with peaks just mid to well above 30. The start of the weekend will be dry but even colder on Saturday with peaks forecast for just under 27. On Sunday, things could get very interesting, as a low pressure could develop off the coast of Georgia, which could move our way Sunday night with possible rainfall. out.
If things go as at least one pattern shows, we could be dealing with another coastal storm that could bring more snow to the area on Sunday night. Multiple model runs will change daily as we get more data and have a better idea of what to expect.
Confidence at this point is very low but will increase as more information becomes available. Temperatures can also support the combination of rainfall in the area.
Stay tuned this week and through the weekend, as we will be able to work to mitigate the impact of this possible storm. Enjoy the two lighter days ahead!
