Old friends who have become rivals will settle their beef in the octagon at UFC 272, when top heavyweights like Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal take to the streets.

Covington most recently fell to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in their rematch at UFC 268. In between losses to Usman, he defeated the former champ. Tyron Woodley with late TKO ending.

Covington is hoping to get a third game against Usman and a win over Masvidal will put him in a good position to return to the title.

Masvidal lost to Usman in head to head matches after going through with a win Nate Diaz, Ben Askren, and Darren Till. He is looking to silence Covington after he was kicked out of the gym after repeatedly interspersing with Masvidal during training.

While the main event is one of the most anticipated battles of the year, the full card features plenty of entertaining matches. In the co-main event, lightest athletes Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev battle to keep their place in the title picture.

Top women’s strawweights Marina Rodriguez and Yan Xiaonan are also competing for a title in the 125-pound weight class in the preliminary round.

Former middleweight contender Kevin Holland will debut in the welterweight division, while the women’s flyweight division Maryna Moroz and Mariya Agapova’s film culminates in their signature duel.
