Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal got into an ugly fight at a Miami restaurant FirstSportz.com

Former training partners became rivals, with Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal trying to chop off each other’s heads for a long time. They finally got a chance to settle down in UFC 272’s main event and after five rounds of intense fighting, Covington Masvidal dominated with superior wrestling to take the unanimous decision win.

Jorge blamed his loss on his sloppy wrestling, and many slammed him for making excuses. Stephen A Smith went after him and said: “I saw Masvidal and he was brave and survived the five rounds while waving at Covington, ‘Come on, let’s get some more.’ He literally used two security guards to lean on because he was so exhausted.”

He added, “The guy [Covington] is in phenomenal shape, he is an outstanding wrestler and Masvidal admitted his wrestling was shallow. How come this apartment comes to knowing this guy as well as you know him and what he tried to do to you and how much you supposedly hate him? Why weren’t you ready for a wrestling match?”

These two really hate each other and their rivalry was far from over. Covington got the bragging rights and trolled Masvidal daily with his Instagram posts. Masvidal claimed their rivalry was still on the horizon and he would dump Covington if he saw him anywhere in Miami.

MMA reporter Andy Slater recently reported that Masvidal and Covington met at a Miami restaurant and they got into an ugly argument, he wrote: “UFC stars Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal got into a fight moments ago at Papi Steak Restaurant in Miami Beach. The police were called.”
