There couldn’t have been a much happier MMA character Kai Kara of France Victory as UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya. Kara France did the almost unthinkable as he defeated the undefeated Askar Askarov at UFC Columbus by unanimous decision. Adesanya and Kara France trained together at City Kickboxing Gym in New Zealand for a very long time.

Kara France now expects to wait for the winner of the fourth fight between the former UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno and current champion Deiveson Figueiredo for the Kiwi, Kara France to have his first title fight. Meanwhile, Kara France’s teammate Adesanya has just completed a fourth successful title defense, a rematch against the previous middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.

Adesanya posted a video on his YouTube channel of his reaction to what was probably the biggest win of Kara France’s career over Askarov, right after Kara France won his penultimate fight against the former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt by KO in the first round.
