Look, the writing on the wall is for the Lakers. The Lakers aren’t a great basketball team and I’ll happily remove them as long as the book allows. They are 13-22-1 against the favorites (ATS) and 12-18-1 at home this season. With a net rating of the bottom 10, they’ve been overvalued for a whole year and it looks like the odds makers haven’t adjusted properly.

The Clippers, on the other hand, are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games as a weaker team and seem to have the Lakers’ numbers. When the two teams met earlier this month, the Clippers were the team with four points. Anthony Davis had 30 points and 17 rebounds while the Clippers won in the last second. Now that Anthony Davis is absent and the Clippers have four games in a row, are the Lakers somehow favored?

Nonsense. Clippers should be in favor here and I won’t hear anything else. This is an easy call for me, just as the Lakers lacked throughout this past season. They have nothing to go for and with the turmoil surrounding LeBron, I expect them to stumble across the finish line.
