Cleveland Browns rookie CB Greg Newsome suffered a concussion in practice, had to rest on Sunday

BEREA, Ohio – Cleveland Browns rookie wing-back Greg Newsome II was kicked out of Sunday’s game against Baltimore after suffering a concussion during the final game of practice Friday.

Newsome fell and hit his head on the play, resulting in a concussion, according to a team spokesman. Newsome, a first pick from the Northwest earlier this year, has been a starter for the Browns all season. Greedy Williams is expected to take his place in the starting lineup.

Browns ready without three other starts for Sunday: tight finish David Njoku, linebacker Anthony Walker and punter Jamie Gillan, all of which are on this week’s COVID-19 list.
