Clay Travis calls Enes Kanter a modern day Muhammad Ali

Enes Kanter Freedom’s NBA career could have been done after he spent the past few months fighting China’s human rights abuses.

Many people have compared the situation of Kanter Freedom with Colin Kaepernick, who knelt during the national anthem for social justice in 2016 and never received a legal contract offer from the NFL again. Despite Kaepernick’s apparent expulsion from the NFL, he has received major endorsements and deals with Netflix, Nike, and others.

Based on Outkick founder Clay Travistwo former athletes deserve a role reversal, with Kanter Freedom deserving as praise and glory which some gave to Kaepernick.

“When Colin Kaepernick criticizes America, he gets dirty rich,” says Travis. “When Enes Kanter criticized China, pointing out that NBA players were contracting to buy shoes and wear them in games made with slave labor; when he pointed out that the Muslim Uyghur community was committing genocide; when he represents the people of Hong Kong; when he called for human rights around the world, he lost his job in the NBA”.

“The LeBron James’s of the world and certainly Colin Kaepernick of the world likes to create his own modern things By Muhammad Ali,” Travis continued. “Let me tell you this pretty clearly: the modern-day Muhammad Ali in the NBA is Enes Kanter. Modern-day professional athlete Muhammad Ali is campaigning for human rights around the world and has to pay the price for it.”

Kanter Freedom’s communication has grown dramatically in recent months, though it has yet to translate into sponsorship deals like those earned by Kaepernick – especially with corporations known to have business ties to China. , such as Nike.

One key difference between Kanter Freedom and Ali is that the latter was once a world-class athlete as he risked his career for what he believes is a more important global cause. Kanter Freedom has never been seen as a winning player and has not been an effective talent on the pitch for many years.

Similarly, a good portion of those who are now praising Kanter Freedom, don’t know who he was when the former NBA center is still an effective basketball player. Kaepernick, however, was nationally known, as his rally came just a few years after leading the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl.

“We have awakened capitalism here,” argues Travis. “Colin Kaepernick gets a bonus and Enes Kanter loses his job.”
