Cindy Crawford praises her daughter for balancing fame and privacy
In an interview, supermodel Cindy Crawford revealed that her daughter Kaia Gerber follows in her footsteps and manages her career and personal life to stardom under the guidance of her parents.

Cindy Crawford says daughter Kaia Gerber learned from her
In a recent interview with People MagazineCrawford shared how her daughter Kaia, 21, manages her blossoming career and personal life just as she did as a supermodel in the ’80s.
Revealing that Kaia has learned from her and her husband Rande Gerber over the years as they found fame, Crawford explained, “We never try to say, ‘Oh, we can’t go there because we might get photographed.’ .”
Maintaining privacy has become even more important to Kaia, especially since she was romantically involved with “Elvis” star Austin Butler.
The pair were first romantically linked in 2021 and most recently made a red carpet appearance at the Time100 gala, which honored Butler as one of the most influential figures of the year. The couple showed their love during the event by posing intimately in front of the cameras and taking part in some PDAs.
Living in the age of social media
Not only does Kaia have to follow in her mother’s footsteps, but she also faces the added challenge of navigating her career and personal life in the age of social media.
Reflecting on the differences between her own experience and Kaia’s, Crawford acknowledged that “it’s a very different landscape” given that she was her daughter’s age and social media brought both positives and negatives to fame.
“Like everything, it has good and bad sides,” she told the outlet. “The good thing is that you have direct communication with your audience. The bad thing can be that the pressure is high and you see a lot of scathing comments there.”
“I’m learning about these things with her, but I feel like she has the perfect head on her shoulders and is figuring out how she wants to balance private work with the public,” she added.
Cindy Crawford is a little jealous of her daughter’s hair
In a candid interview with InStyle, Crawford spoke about her experiences with aging, especially her hair. The iconic supermodel revealed she didn’t fully anticipate the effects of aging on her hair. She even admitted that she often feels a pang of envy when she sees her daughter with her luscious and luminous locks.
“I look at my daughter and notice her hair looks shiny and healthy — she has my old hair and I want her back!” Crawford shared.
“Everyone tells you your skin will age, but nobody tells you your hair will age too,” the supermodel told the outlet. “I think we all expect to get gray hair, but I didn’t realize that the texture would change, that it would become more brittle, that it would fall out more and that it would just be lackluster.”

Gerber and her mother share a close bond and a deep love of style and fashion. Over the years, they’ve had numerous twinning moments that have showcased their impeccable taste.
In December, the entire family, including Kaia’s older brother Presley, gathered to support her at the prestigious Celine Fall/Winter 2023 runway show in Los Angeles.
During the show, all eyes were on Kaia as she confidently strutted down the runway, rocking a chic ensemble by pairing a cropped white tank top with a sleek black suit jacket and black leather pants. The model shone in a gold mini dress which completed her standout look and exuded an air of elegance and confidence.
