Christopher Lloyd takes on Rosanne’s role

Bev’s old friend is now a recalcitrant contrabassoon teacher.
Four years after he was first introduced to the Conner family as Beverly’s questionable new boyfriend, Lou roseanneveteran actor Christopher Lloyd joins the ABC spinoff series The Connors in the same role according to the deadline. He will rejoin the series for the episode “The Best Laid Plans, A Contrabassoon and A Sinking Feeling,” which airs May 4. As a foretaste of his return, Deadline has also groomed and dressed an exclusive picture of a more Lloyd along with John Gutman.
Lou’s reappearance this time won’t be tied to Beverly, but to Mark. He’ll be teaching Mark how to play the contrabassoon, but not without a bit of tension and headbutting. After the two try, Dan is forced to step in and confront Lou, but he realizes that there is more in common between the two than first appeared. The main plot of the episode, meanwhile, will revolve around Darlene and her inability to handle the stress of construction. When a serious accident occurs, she makes a life-changing decision after reviewing everything that happened.
Judging by the picture and the episode description, Lou seems to be a little more together since he was last around the Conner family. When he snuggled up during an episode of Bev roseanne‘s revival season, he disgusted Roseanne and Jackie with his not-so-smooth and generally greasy demeanor. Roseanne also had to help him put on his compression stockings because Jackie absolutely didn’t want to touch his feet. We’ll see a funnier side of the character as he guides Mark through his lessons.
The best Christopher Lloyd performances that aren’t Back to the Future
Lloyd is obviously best known as Doc Brown in the all-time classic time travel movie Back to the Future, but we’ve been in the midst of something of a Lloyd renaissance lately. Now, at the age of 83, he’s ready to hook up with him Rachel Leigh Cook later that year for the family function Ghost Halloween based on the iconic costume shop of the same name. Perhaps the most exciting upcoming Lloyd performance, however, is his induction into the cast of The Mandalorian Season 3 in an unknown role. In addition, he recently appeared in the Bob Odenkirk-LED Nobody as well as The tender bar and he had a hilarious cameo as the Doc Brown-inspired Rick Sanchez in a live-action promo for Rick and Morty.
New episodes of The Conners Airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Lloyd will make a second impression as Lou in the new May 4th episode.
