Christopher Daniels says AEW is not a meaningless project

Christopher Daniels is a legendary talent in the industry. The word ‘legend’ is used quite often in professional wrestling because of its popularity. However, sometimes the status of legend is achieved by people who have been there for a long time and sometimes in smaller commercials and territories, and therefore do not have the popularity of John Cena or Dwayne Johnson.

Daniels has been in the industry since 1993 and has run some of the biggest promotions this business has ever seen: WWF, WCW, TNA, AEW, ROH, and the list just goes on from there. He last wrestled The Bucks on AEW TV and since then has made a few appearances for Impact Wrestling, where he’s definitely the royalties.

He and Kazarian lost the game against The Bucks in May and the rule was that he and Kazarian’s SCU team had to disband if they lost. Daniels suffered a serious eye injury after the game and hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since. He pointed out what the future holds for himself during a recent AEW in an interview.

“The last game I had on AEW was the night we wrestled the Bucks and unfortunately we lost and SCU had to part. From that point on, I considered my future in the ring and I decided that I still wanted to try my hand at ring wrestling.

Honestly, I would be lying if I said I was happy to go to AEW and didn’t see my name on the board. I want to get back in the ring and do something with this squad. But I also realized that AEW is not a frivolous project and that perhaps Christopher Daniels in the ring is not the best thing for AEW at this point with a stack of cards and a lot of young talent in the area. there.

That’s not my call. I hope to be in the ring at some point soon, but if not, I also realize that I am still contributing to AEW. And if fate decides that my best contribution is behind the scenes, so be it. But I’m still ready to go and the minute I see my name on the board, I’ll string them up and take it.”

So he’s definitely excited to be back there, but happy to just be working behind the scenes at the moment, as his words have proven. However, there are a lot of possibilities for him to return there, especially with so many other stars near his age rumored to be taking to the streets, as Jeff Hardy said. Who knows what the future might hold?
