Christian Yelich just wants MLB and MLBPA to figure that out and close a deal.
After a great 2021 MLB season, players like Christian Yelich are hoping the MLBPA and baseball can figure that out.
Yelich is the star midfielder of one of the strongest teams in the National League in Milwaukee Brewers. The former NL MVP is one of the most notable players in the Senior Circuit, but none of that will be a matter of the unfinished door locking. It’s been an incredibly controversial season since baseball locked the players in their ongoing labor dispute. This became stale yesterday.
By quoting Jeff Passan’s tweet accompanied by a Big Cat GIF, you know that Yelich just wants a damn deal done.
Christian Yelich is so frustrated with MLB, MLBPA doesn’t have a deal done
Be truth. The longer this lasts, the worse it will get for baseball. The major labor strike eventually cost baseball a lot of fans in the mid-1990s, many of whom never returned to the sport. If both sides are not discerning, the same could happen to a new generation of fans who are extremely distracted with so many other things. Baseball can’t screw this thing up.
Sadly, baseball will be baseball. While the intricacies of any collective bargaining agreement are incredibly complex, this is, after all, a game for kids. Baseball is “America’s pastime,” but will that be the case in a few years if labor issues ruin a promising 2022 season? Yelich has turned 30 years old with persistent injuries and is no longer young. His frustration is very noticeable here.
The more Big Cat GIFs we have, the better our chances of saving the season.
