Christian Darrisaw draws comparisons to the NFL’s highest-paid left tackle

Minnesota Vikings left tackle Christian Darrisaw had a strong rookie season and is looking even better in the camp draw comparison with Trent Williams.
Chrisitan Darrisaw Appeared as a rookie for the Vikings as a rookie starting 10 games and gave fans a glimpse of left tackle safety. Having a Stallworth on left tackle to protect your franchise quarterback makes life a lot easier for the entire offense. Darrisaw sometimes had some tricky moments in pass protection allowing five sacks, but his run game play was top-notch.
But overall, he only allowed 22 pressures in 398 pass-blocking snaps, so there’s room for improvement, but overall not bad for a rookie left tackle. He’s already flashing at camp, though, and some have compared him to San Fransicso’s Trent Williams, the NFL’s top left tackle.
Viking coach were quite impressed with Darrisaw and thought he had already taken steps this offseason to make them believe he could be the franchise tackle they envisioned when he was picked in the first round. Injuries slowed him down last year and led to some passing struggles that need to be cleaned up, but he’s already trending in that direction.
There’s no question that if you look at him from a pure talent standpoint, Darrisaw has everything it takes to make a left tackle. Ultimately he needs to stay healthy and keep working but early results in 2022 show he is on track to have a great second season.
