Chris Sale’s NSFW comment does not bode well for vaccine status

The Red Sox avoided a three-game sweep by the Blue Jays in Toronto, where they were shorthanded due to several star players’ COVID-19 vaccine status.
Ironically, that doesn’t include Sale, which it is still in rehab in the Red Sox minor league system. However, he has yet to be vaccinated and it seems unlikely that this will be the case in the future.
If Sale came back, he would immediately jump near the top of the Boston rotation, assuming they put him there. Sale hasn’t really looked like him on the mound since 2018 due to injury woes and has barely served before the playoffs since 2019 despite a couple of misses towards the end of last year.
Still, he has this talent.
With the postseason three months away, as things stand, Boston would need to travel to Toronto for a playoff series. That would work People like Tanner HouckJarren Duren and Sale from the team.

What does Sale say about this?
While Sale’s status is less telling than, say, Houck, who is the team’s main closer and will play a big part in overall success this season, it would still be nice to see him as a leader and say that he is open to such a change.
What Sale or anyone else puts in their bodies should be up to them. But if we have this choice, we must deal with the consequences and questions that arise from it. In this conversation, we discuss a life-changing vaccine that will affect not only those who take it but others around them, reducing the effects of a virus that has literally forced us inside for months.
Of course, some don’t want to read it, or don’t believe it. And that is your right.
From a baseball perspective alone, having two key members of their pitching staff banned from a potential playoff series in Toronto will hurt Boston’s chances — all but none. That’s why this remains such a hot topic.
