Chris Sale expresses his NSFW frustration over recent injury

Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale is beyond frustrated by his latest freak injury so shortly after returning from the injured list.
Chris Sale has spent most of the 2022 season on the injury list. He is preparing for another extended stay after suffering another injury.
During Sunday’s fight between the Red Sox and Yankees had to get the pitcher off the mound in the first inning after being hit in the hand by a rope drive.
Sale’s pinky took the brunt of the violence and was diagnosed with a fracture. Boston has put him on the 15-day IL, but it’s likely he’ll stay out a lot longer. A timetable for his return is not known.

Frustration boiled over for Sale when he appeared in the media.
“This is of course. Think about it. Remember my schedule. It was just s*** after s*** after s***. Just more shit to deal with.” Sale said Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com.
The pitcher will see a specialist sometime the next day per Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe. Then the team will have a better idea of how long he will be out. Sale forecast four to six weeks, which feels like an absolute best-case scenario.
Sale didn’t joke about his bad luck with injuries. On Sunday he started the season for the second time. He missed the first half of the season with a stress fracture to his rib sustained in February. He sat out the entire 2020 campaign while recovering from Tommy John’s surgery. His rehab following that surgery delayed his return in 2021, limiting him to just nine regular season starts.
Despite the obvious irritation, he also dealt sensibly with the recent setback.
“Two things I know for sure at the moment. I have a lot of love in my corner, a lot of people who care about me and want me to be successful. And someone, somewhere, is having a worse day than I am right now. And that’s a fact,” Sale said. via tweet from Cotillo.
