Chris Hemsworth shows off his bare bottom in Thor: Love and Thunder

Everyone knows that Thor has a powerful hammer. But in Thor: Love and Thunder Chris Hemsworth bares everything to show off another asset: his bare bottom.

“It took me 10 years to do this scene — kind of a dream of mine,” Hemsworth said diversity during Thursday’s premiere of “Thor: Love and Thunder” at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. “The first time I played Thor, I took off my t-shirt and I was like, ‘You know what’s going to make this cute… 10 years from now it’s all going to take off.”

While it’s still unclear what to expect ten years from now, there’s a lot to discover from the fourth Thor movie directed by Taika Waititi. When asked how the revealing moment came about, Waititi said it was important to him to highlight Hemsworth’s physique.

“I feel like we’ve all talked about it,” Waititi said diversity. “We had been talking about, ‘Yes, we have to show this body.’ My whole thing was like that, Chris works so hard, you gotta show that. Don’t hide it with all those suits and cloaks and stuff, it’s not fair!”

For Hemsworth, it wasn’t the first time he’d had to show it all on screen. But at the end of the day, he couldn’t be too shocked by what he saw.

“I had that in ‘Rush’ many years ago,” Hemsworth said. “In a Marvel movie, it was a very big screen, it was a very big pair of cheeks, and I don’t know, I’d seen it before.”

The actor also revealed that it was “intimidating” to see him Natalie Portman as The Mighty Thor first: “A little stab in the ego, but I got over it quickly and was impressed with everything she had done.” Chris Hemsworth shows off his bare bottom in Thor: Love and Thunder
