Chris Curtis joins Roman Dolidze against Brendan Allen at UFC Vegas 44

The “Action Man” now wastes no time as he is finally on the UFC roster.

MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck and Damon Martin have confirmed to sources with knowledge of the new bout that Chris Curtis (27-8) is entering on short notice to replace Roman Dolidze in a middleweight match against Brendan Allen (17-4) at UFC Vegas 44 on December 4th.

The change was first reported by DNA MMA.

Curtis had a successful UFC debut this past November at UFC 268 with the knockout in the first round of Phil Hawes. Victory was the culmination of a long and winding road to the octagon for the 12-year veteran that included multiple near misses and retirement. It was a sixth win in a row for Curtis, who had just entered the PFL in their welterweight division.

This was the third opponent that was scheduled for Allen on December 4. Initially, Allen had to face the veteran. Brad Tavares, but Tavares withdrew and was replaced by Dolidze, who has also now retired (both fighters are absent for undisclosed reasons). Allen is 2-0 in 2021 so far, has scored the goal Punahele Soriano and Karl Roberson to recover from a loss Sean Strickland previous November.
