The 10-strong syndicate had the only Division 1 winner in the Powerball drawing.

The group also scored a whopping 19 goals in Division 2, four in Division 8, and once in Division 9, bringing the group total to $40,517,739

Each member takes home a prize of $4,051,773.90.

The group members bought a syndicate share from their local newspaper agency.

But two members may not yet have learned of their new millionaire status, and a spokesman for The Lott confirmed they have yet to claim their prizes.

Syndicate members are asked to review their tickets.

“That’s really good,” she told an official from The Lott.

“We’re just a small town and it’s crazy to think there are 10 multi-millionaires here now.”

Syndicate members bought their tickets from Wentworth Lotto and News in Wentworth.

Owner Rowan Congress was amazed but thrilled that the big jackpot landed in her small town.

“Oh, that’s beautiful!” she said.

“This is great news for Wentworth. We’re in the middle of nowhere!”
