Charles Oliveira accepts Conor McGregor’s challenge, ready to fight him this weekend

Charles Oliveira has responded to Conor McGregor’s post-UFC 269 call and challenged the Irish star this weekend at UFC Fight Night 199.

“So when do I fight Oliveira,” McGregor posted after Oliveira’s submission win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 269 on Saturday.

“What do you think about this weekend? I’m ready, I’m still in town, and there’s an event coming up. Come on honey,” replied Oliveira, who has the most finishes and wins in the UFC.

McGregor is clearly unable to fight this weekend as he is currently sidelined with a broken leg. The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion is expected to be scrapped as early as mid-2022 and, judge by recent photos, may have trouble cutting it down to 155 pounds.

Oliveira, 32, believes a win over McGregor would be great for his legacy and is happy to let the ninth-ranked lightweight jumper compete for a title.

“If I had a chance to fight Conor for money today, I would,” said Oliveira Trocacao Franca audio files. “The belt is mine and will continue to be mine. We will continue to build our legacy and make history. “

Oliveira is currently 5th in the UFC men’s weight balance chart while McGregor has been dropped from the p4p list entirely. Charles Oliveira accepts Conor McGregor’s challenge, ready to fight him this weekend
