“We’ve been living deep in the baby bubble! Our boy Moses Timothy Morgan arrived on Wednesday! 3.2 kg and 51 cm long,” Gilding shared on Instagram on Saturday.

The couple received a ton of love in the comments, congratulating them on their new addition.

Moses is Gilding and Morgan’s second child, welcoming their three-year-old daughter Olive in 2019.

The couple announced the pregnancy news in March and shared a photo with a positive pregnancy test.

“It’s not a perfectly timed photoshoot with hair, makeup, cute outfits and the warm glow of a sunset…” she wrote at the time.

“Just the raw emotion, excitement and surprise of two parents who have experienced heartache, longing and disappointment!”

The 4pm Queensland news anchor wrote of how she knew that feeling of “desperately” wanting a family, explaining that she became pregnant with Olive because of IVF treatments.

“But my heart’s desire was still to conceive naturally,” she continued. “After trying again and again, we went down the same medical path.

“Then at 11 hours, just a few days before the surgery, I took a test and for the first time in our lives we saw that little window go positive!

“I can’t wait for our tribe to grow! Boy #2 due in September!”

“Really stressful” road to pregnancy

Gilding, who suffers from endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome, previously opened up about her pregnancy struggles in 2020 after welcoming Olive.

When she was trying to conceive, she said in a post on her website: “So you timed everything perfectly, took medication for a fortnight by injecting yourself with a needle every morning, your partner produces sperm, it gets inserted and then you must wait two weeks to see if you are pregnant.

“In my case, four laps were unsuccessful. I can’t describe the heartbreak of getting your period every month.”

With that failure, the couple attempted IVF, which Gilding found “really stressful.”

“It’s a pretty simple procedure — it’s transvaginal surgery, so it’s not invasive like endo surgery, and they don’t have to cut you open, and it’s pretty quick,” she continued.

“When I woke up, I had a circle on my hand and the number 20 written in it. That’s how many eggs they were able to remove and that’s quite a phenomenal result.”

After IVF treatment, Gilding recalled getting a call from her gynecologist while she was in the makeup chair at work.

“I was in the vanity chair at work so I couldn’t speak very frankly because no one knew what was going on,” she wrote in 2020.

“My doctor told me I was pregnant and I literally kept saying, ‘You’re kidding… no, you’re kidding…

“I couldn’t believe her and I couldn’t react because there were too many people around,” she said at the time.
