CFFC 104 Results – Bilder vs Buenafuente

The CFFC is set to end its year on a good note, as two titles will be contested tonight at CFFC 104, taking place live from Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In the main event, “The Praying Mantis” Frankie Buenafuente has been promoted from the event’s preliminary card to face undefeated Blake Bilder for the featherweight championship after Eddy Torres was forced out of the competition. New Jersey’s Buenafuente is a Bellator and WSOF veteran with 15 skirmishes, with three of his five losses being UFC fighter in Julio Arce and Bill Algeo. He last played more than a year ago, losing by unanimous decision at CFFC 89. Bilder makes his CFFC debut tonight after winning the first round of his last match. to lift his overall record to 4-0-1.

Champion “Turbo” Phumi Nkuta will defend his second flyweight title against “Sunshine” Jason Eastman in the co-main event. Coached by Ray Longo, Nkuta has dominated all four of his professional fights, starting with a win at Bellator 231 and most recently defending his belt at CFFC 101 by the fourth inning. The US-trained Mississippian Eastman captain has a 7-3 record, but is on a two-game winning streak after getting a unanimous decision victory at Titan FC 68 and apply in the second round at CFFC 100.

At middleweight, “Bodybagz” Joe Pyfer will be looking to recover from his loss in the 2020 season of Dana White’s Contenders Series as he faces the NCAA’s all-American wrestling. Austin Trotman. Pyfer injured his arm after being Dustin Stoltzfus in the aforementioned DWCS match, and lost two of his last three teamfights. He made his CFFC debut against Trotman, who competed outside the Carolinas for the first time and relegated to his natural weight division after a bout at heavyweight. After failing on his professional debut, Trotman had three consecutive finishes in one minute or less.
