Cavaliers front Cedi Osman has settled into his second unit role and is enjoying a comeback season, Chris Fedor of Cleveland Delta Dealer Write. Osman has taken 43.6% of 3-pointers this season and has averaged 20 points in his last three games. He shot 30.6% deeper than last year and averaged fewer points the more minutes he played.

“His role is to be the spark from the bench,” coach JB Bickerstaff speak. “Take open shots and create conditions when the defense dictates. We did our best to simplify his role. He’s been bought into the team and he’s trying to do what’s best for the team. He became a star in his role. ”

We have more from the Central Division:

  • center Nikola Vucevic said to be dealing with Bulls last season was a joint decision between him and the office of Magic, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times report. “It’s something we’ve discussed a lot and it’s been mutually agreed upon,” he said. he say. “It’s not a situation where they tell me I won’t be traded, and then I will be traded. Much of that comes from my communication with them, so that’s not a surprise to me. … It didn’t work the way we wanted it to, and I think in the end it worked out for both sides. ”
  • In spite of Piston ‘ poor record, James Edwards III of Athletic doubt the front office will make any major deals this season. Jerami Grant is one of the key players that could be moved but Edwards doubts it. The most likely commercial candidates are Josh Jackson (unrestricted free agent) and Hamidou Diallo (team options for next season). Coach Dwane Casey have job security after signing an extension this year, Edwards added.
  • NS Bulls’ reliance on small balls is a concern, NBC Sports Chicago’s KC Johnson Write. Houston ended a 15-game slide against Chicago, which had lost two games in a row. The Bulls are currently at a pivotal point in their season. “Must have an internal drive,” coach Billy Donovan speak. “We have already shown signs of doing that. But we’re not showing signs of doing that consistently enough. ” Center Notes: Osman, Vucevic, Grant, Bulls
