Jaylen Brown was ruled out of the Boston Celtics game against the Atlanta Hawks after injuring his right ankle.
The Boston Celtics looking to bounce back from a 128-107 loss to the Indiana Pacers with a win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. Unfortunately for Boston, they lost one of their star players early in the game.
In the first half, Jaylen Brown drove the basket, but when he reached the paint, he fell to the floor in pain. Video playback shows that as Brown takes a step, his right foot falters awkwardly.
Brown was able to put pressure on his foot as he walked to the locker room, but he was ultimately ruled out for the rest of the game with what has been described as a right ankle sprain.

In this very game, Hawks star Trae Young left the game briefly after spraining his left ankle after attempting a three-pointer late in the first half. The injury wasn’t too serious, as Young was back later in the game.
For the game, Brown hit his single shot to win two points, a bounce and an assist in three minutes of play.
For the year, Brown is averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 46.2% from the field and 34.8% from the 3-pointer line.
The Celtics went on to beat the Hawks with a score of 107-98. Jayson Tatum scored 33 points (12 for 25 from the field, 3 for 10 from the three-point line), won eight rebounds and recorded seven assists in 39 minutes.
Celtics fans will obviously wait for an update on Brown to see if he will miss any time due to an ankle sprain.
