Celtics’ PF Al Horford’s sister reveals horrific death and rape threats she received after Lakers game

The world of professional sports often inspires passion and excitement, but it can also lead to dangerous and frightening experiences for those close to the athletes. Such was the case for Anna Horford, sister of Boston Celtics’ PF Al Horford. She recently revealed the horrific threats she received following a recent game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Celtics and Lakers faced off in a highly anticipated game on January 31, 2023. The game was filled with intense moments, but one game in particular got fans and commentators talking.
With just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, Tatum drove to the basket and laid up a layup. James tried to block the shot, but Tatum’s arm seemed to make contact with James’ arm, causing James to shake off in pain.
The game was reviewed by the officials but no foul on the pitch was called. James went on to finish the game, but the effects of Tatum’s strike lingered long after the last buzzer.
Al Horford has helped the Celtics establish themselves as one of the best teams in the league this season. But when his sister jokingly tweeted, “The Oscar goes to LeBron James,” Lakers fans went into raptures.
AI Horford’s sister is mostly active on Twitter during Celtic games to support her brother. But the fans did not tolerate this tweet. She reported that she received constant death and rape threats. She later deleted that tweet but continued to post fans’ tweets showing the horrific threats she was facing.
Please help me with reporting.

Amidst this hate and criticism, some fans supported her and she also shared her gratitude with them. “Thanks to everyone who has had my back over the past few days. I’ve received an overwhelming amount of notifications and kind messages and I really appreciate it,” Anna tweeted.
After that incident, she explained that she learned how “dark and hateful” things can get on the internet. She shared that it was her intention never to get into arguments, and when she feels things are getting out of hand, she always takes a step back. “The reason I share or retweet these threats is because the more attention they get, the more likely they are to be removed,” she said.
In that incident, the Lakers’ fan base was terrible. Anna herself stated that she never said anything to receive death or rape threats. But at least James treated the subject with humor, jokingly thanking Tatum for his “block” on Instagram.
