Cassie Carli is missing from Santa Rosa County, Florida

Cassie Carly.
Florida lawmakers fear for a missing woman after she disappeared after showing up for a custody swap. Cassie Carly37, was last seen Sunday, March 27, in a parking lot behind the Juana’s Pagodas restaurant in Navarre Beach, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
sheriff bob Johnson told reporters that investigators found Carli’s car behind the restaurant Monday, including her purse. With that in mind, he expressed concern about Carli’s whereabouts. He stopped saying if authorities believe she was kidnapped. However, he noted that it has been days since her last known whereabouts could be determined and neither her credit card nor her phone have registered any activity.
“I’m not really going to comment on what I believe,” he said. “It doesn’t matter what I believe. I mean the evidence is what we do. And right now we don’t have enough evidence to determine if she’s alive or dead.”
What MPs say, however, is that Carli was at the restaurant for a custody swap of their three-year-old daughter Markus Spanevellothe little girl’s father.
Carli’s family told local reporters that her father received text messages from Carli’s phone Sunday night that didn’t sound like her.
“Especially the allegations of car and phone problems at the same time,” Sister Raeann said WKRG. “She would have gone to the nearest gas station if she had to before asking Marcus for help in a situation like this.”
Johnson declined to say what was in the purse. Carli’s family reportedly said her phone was missing.
“I’m sorry, the car has moved,” it said in a text. “Marcus is working on it. I’m staying with him tonight. He pays me money to do some things at his house.”
Deputies said they found Spanevelo and the three-year-old daughter in Birmingham, Alabama. According to reports, Spanevelo works in this state.
Birmingham is four hours north of Navarre Beach, where Carli was last seen.
Child protection services spoke to the girl, said Sheriff Johnson, who declined to comment on what those officers spoke to the girl about. MPs didn’t speak to her, he said. Johnson also declined to reveal Spanevelo’s version of events.
“We are determined to speak to him again,” he said. As part of their work, investigators are looking outside of Santa Rosa County, he said.
Law&Crime was unable to reach Spanevelo for comment.
According to Carli’s brother AnthonyCassie had said for the past two years that Spanevelo had threatened her.
“She’s always in touch with her family and friends,” Raeann added. “Even during the exchange she would have texted. Our red flag was Marcus.”
MPs describe Carli as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and having blonde hair and blue eyes.
