Kasper Ruud The most successful Norwegian tennis player in history is in Monaco to win his 8th singles title. Ruud came to Monaco after finishing second at the Miami Open. He hit Alexander Zverev in Miami in the quarterfinals.

Ruud, in 7th place, competed against him Holger Rune, placed 79th in a Scandinavian derby. It was a very close match and Ruud managed to make Rune better as he defeated him 7-6, 7-5. Ruud also had some scary moments in the match but managed to wrap things up.

Ruud has won six of his seven singles titles on clay. He is one of the best active clay court players. Any tennis fan knows that Ruud’s favorite surface is clay, but something incredible happened after the challenging match in his opening round at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
