Cars on the Road will feature a parody of Mad Max: Fury Road

cars on roada new series based on cars, Pixar’s 2006 animated film, debuts September 8 on Disney Plus. The new trailer for the series features many fun adventures between Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater, but one vignette in particular stands out: A crazy max: Rage Road Parody.

Yes, you read that correctly. It looks like cars on the street will have an episode – or at least several scenes – dedicated to George Miller’s 2015 masterpiece, Mad Max: Fury Road.

About halfway through the trailer, a car with an Australian accent and a variety of metal augments begins threatening Lightning and Mater. The trailer then features cars that look very familiar to those in whom they are used rage street, as well as cars that breathe flames and are decorated with spikes. There’s even a big truck with a massive speaker and little buggies that bang on oil drums, similar to the musical truck the guitar-wielding Doof Warrior drives rage street.

It’s a really wild thing to see spoofed on a kids TV show based on a kids movie. But you know what they say, you’re never too young to ride forever, shiny and chrome.

The Fuller Story of cars on the street is that Mater is taking a cross-country trip to attend his sister’s wedding, and Lightning has agreed to come along. The trailer shows many other strange adventures, such as a car circus, a car T-Rex and car…ghosts, but nothing that reaches the level of rage street Homage.

The big question with the trailer is how much Mad Max content will be included cars on the street? Fans won’t be able to answer that until the series debuts on Disney Plus in just over a month. Cars on the Road will feature a parody of Mad Max: Fury Road
