Ferraris Carlo Sainz lost control of his F175 on the 3rd lap of the Australian GP. The Spaniard lost control of his car at Turn 9, clipped the grass, lost traction and slid into the gravel.
The Sainz, unable to retrieve the car, was forced to end the Australian GP early. He was eyeing another podium, his third of the season after starting fourth in today’s race. Meanwhile, teammate Charles Leclerc leads the race on pole position in front of the Red Bulls Max Verstappen.
Sainz couldn’t get traction on these hard compound tires. Having already lost a handful of places, he then lost control in an underpowered slip and slid back across the track through the loss of the rear end. Very lucky not to collect anyone there.
