The Dutch GP wasn’t the best race for the Yamaha MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo since he made not one but several mistakes which endangered his own race and that of others. The French rider failed to finish the race and received the DNF badge alongside him, a sign he had to reconsider his championship success plan over the summer break.

Fabio Quartararo’s grievous mistake during the Dutch Grand Prix saw his title rival Aleix Espargaro edge him even closer in the championship standings, with just 21 points separating the two. Carlo Pernat felt that the British GP, taking place after the summer break, will be crucial in terms of the championship fight going forward. If the leader makes even a single mistake, the championship will be thrown wide open.

“I thought he put his head in the right place, instead he made a mistake and reopened the worlds. The Silverstone race will be very important because if he makes another mistake then the championship is 100 per cent open. Let’s see if he can withstand the pressure as before,” he said.

With the end of the MotoGP season break, the British GP is upon us this month. Fabio Quartararo will serve a lengthy lap penalty in the race due to his mistakes during the Dutch GP which resulted in the reigning world champion endangering title rival Aleix Espargaro’s race. Fabio will have to show at Silverstone that he can still fight for the title and is hungry for it.
