Capitalize the Nic Dowd message included in the COVID protocol

NS Washington Capitals announced Friday afternoon that the Nic Dowd center is on COVID-19 protocol.

Dowd did not participate in the Capitals practice on Friday, but played on Thursday night Lost 4-3 on penalties to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Dowd has three goals and four assists to score seven points from 16 games played so far this season. He averages 14:03 ice time per game.

Mike Sgarbossa, who has scored in four games this season, is likely to be included in the squad. He’s Washington’s only fit skater left.

The capital got back to work on Saturday night as they hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets at Capital One Arena.
