Canucks makes it two straight

In Vancouver, the Canucks won their second game in a row under the new leadership. This time it was a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins, after the skill test.
Thatcher Demko made 35 saves in the win over the Canucks.
Head coach Bruce Boudreau chased away a few ghosts that were disturbing the squad.
“Everybody feels confident that we can go into the sequel and get another one,” Vancouver’s Quinn Hughes speak. “We’re going to play one game at a time and once a week and that’s the message when the Coach comes in. In the first two games we’re playing really well and the great thing is I think we can play better. .”
Vancouver improves to 10-15-2.
Brock Boeser scored for the Canucks in the regulation.
“Our team really came together,” says Boeser. “Tonight is another great step forward for us and we have to keep playing hard and playing together.”
Patrice Bergeron Score Boston’s only goal in the game.
“That’s what we expected,” Boston assistant coach Joe Sacco said. “They seem more aggressive when tested and they are also more aggressive with [penalty] kills, but our power play also responds with a big aim. It would be nice to get more points here tonight, but we have to regroup and get ready for tomorrow’s game [at the Edmonton Oilers]. ”
Boston drops to 12-8-2.
Boeser has been one of the Canucks’ disappointments this season.
“I talked about how I want to produce for this team and help us win hockey games and get a couple in the last game, I think that means a lot and it’s a big thing. That was huge for my confidence,” Boeser said.
Jeremy Swayman made 31 saves in a loss to the Bruins.
“Definitely not satisfied. We need more,” Bergeron said. “That being said, I think the online presence is already there. We don’t shoot. The presence is there and sometimes we try to get through and we have to put it in the net. “
