Cannes Ticketing Woes: Festival makes new solution to release tickets

The Cannes Film Festival has made another fix to release movie tickets on their online service.
Festival-goers have been complaining for days – even before Cannes officially opens – about the buggy ticketing website, which takes what feels like forever to load and usually ends with an “Error” message, making it virtually impossible to secure tickets.
On Thursday afternoon (Day 3) the organizers emailed delegates a new link set up for film market professionals.
The festival said its website problems are “most likely due to malicious actions aimed at saturating the website with requests and thus preventing festival-goers from accessing it”.
Going forward, it will ask delegates to keep the link private (why diversity did not link to the website).
“Since we have already been victims of malicious acts, we ask that you do not share this link with anyone else, especially as it only works for authorized festival-goers,” the organizers said in their email.
There’s more to come.
