Round 1

Plant rushed out with thrusts into Alvarez’s body. He managed to keep Alvarez away with quick stabs to the head. Alvarez was patient and slowly crept forward.

Alvarez carefully found the opening and scored with his right hand. He quickly caught Plant on the rope and scored in a combination. Plant shows a lot of nervous energy, while Alvarez looks very calm.

Round 2

Alvarez continued his methodical trek down to the Plant. He started using his right hand more and mixed in the left hook to get a good measurement. Plant swings outward, and his powers look ineffective.

Plant relies on jabs and head movement but isn’t connected to any meaningful punches. Alvarez found it very easy to close the gap.

Round 3

Plant tried to return his shot, but scored. However, Alvarez passed through it and threw a staked right hand. Plants are stalled due to holding.

Alvarez swung his arms with bad intentions but didn’t always land. Plant caught Alvarez with a rope but did nothing when given the chance. Alvarez played cat and mouse and mocked Plant. There was a clash of heads, but no damage occurred.

Round 8

Alvarez started the round well and started targeting Plant’s body more. Alvarez scored with some coordination, and Plant managed to roll with punches. He did a commendable job but still had to take some punishment.

Plant has also entered the body, but the difference in strength is obvious. Plant ran in the final minutes, as FanSided predicted he would in the later stages of the skirmish.

Round 9

The rounds began to lack each other in the style of Plant trying to attack outside, with Alvarez eventually coming in and knocking out some substantial punches. In recognition of Plant’s merits, he captured Alvarez’s power very well.

Round 10

Alvarez heats up with body punches. Plants continued to retreat. His punch to the counter wasn’t much effective and had to resort to holding.

Alvarez fights more on the inside, and Plant looks a step slower. Plant put up a few fouls, but Alvarez rocked him with a left hook to the head.

Round 11

Alvarez and Plant trade early. Plant appeared to be in a hurry but was hooked by a hook on his left side, stunning him. A combination of Alvarez dropped him.

Plant stood up on unsteady legs, and Alvarez punished him with a rope. He drove down the right hand to plant Trees on the canvas. That is over. Canelo won in round 11 TKO.

Alvarez is the undisputed super-middleweight world champion.
