Cancel Rage Against the Machine tour after Zack de la Rocha injury

The UK and European legs of Rage Against the Machine’s reunion tour were canceled following an injury to singer Zack de la Rocha. The singer injured his leg at a concert in Chicago in July.
“Upon medical orders, Zack de la Rocha has been advised that the UK and European leg of the Rage Against The Machine tour in August and September 2022 cannot proceed. It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation. Rage Against The Machine will wrap up their run at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12, and 14, and then Zack will have to return home to rest and rehabilitate. The flights, travel time and strict schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too much of a risk for a full recovery,” the band said in a statement.
“We are so sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us and we hope to see Rage again soon. Please contact your point of sale for headline refunds,” the statement added.

Following de la Rocha’s injury, the band, best known for their anti-establishment anthem “Killing in the Name,” had resumed touring with the singer seated. The band will play New York’s Madison Square Garden before closing for the summer.
In the UK, Rage Against the Machine was scheduled to play Edinburgh, Leeds and Reading, followed by Paris, Antwerp, Hanover, Zurich, Malaga, Madrid, Vienna, Kraków, Zagreb and Prague.
They will be back on the road in February 2023, with confirmed dates in the US and Canada through April.
