EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Due to space limitations, only a few of the hundreds of reports are used in this weekly column.

7th of July

11 clock: A caller at the 1500 block of 65th Avenue reported that a man in a tie-dye shirt was standing across the miniature golf course and was aggressive towards families.

11:45 am: A caller to the 600 block of 18th Street reported a bat crawling in the alley.

13 o’clock: A caller on the 2800 block of 10th Street reported that a woman who made no sense came to the front desk and said she could hear “locks banging” on Campus Music.

14 o’clock: A caller at the 1400 block of North 11th Avenue reported a raccoon on the property was lethargic and not afraid of humans.

6:45 p.m.: A caller at the 2200 block of 23rd Avenue reported that a group of teenagers broke off the tennis shack’s antenna and then rolled a shopping cart off the roof.

8 p.m.: A caller at the 3600 block of 29th Street reported that there was a device with a battery in the park’s trees.

July 12

11:15 am: A caller on the 1000 block of 10th Avenue reported that patrons at a church threw dog food and yelled at a group with one of the Democratic candidates at the July Fourth parade.

5:45 p.m.: A caller at the 2400 block of 8th Avenue reported a man vandalizing the Kentucky Fried Chicken property by cutting the pipes to the sprinkler system.

21 clock: A caller at the 2500 block of 11th Avenue reported that the bottom half of the ATM had been ripped off.

10:45 p.m.: A caller on the 1000 block of 6th Street reported that someone was holding a meeting on the street next to the building.

July 14th

5:30 in the morning: A caller on the 2100 block of 47th Avenue reported that a man was asked to leave the basketball court and he said he would leave if he could hit a threesome. He left after shooting.

6:45 am: A caller near US 34 and 65th Avenue reported that a person at the curb was wrapped in a white towel.

12:30 pm: A caller at the 100 block of 22nd Street reported that a man was carrying a Hub Cab around on a string and was acting strangely.

4 p.m.: A man in the 2800 block of 27th Street reported he was sedated in a hospital for a week and his landlord evicted him without notice.

9:30 p.m.: A caller on the 800 block of 30th Avenue Court reported that the neighbor’s windows looked bloodied and someone seemed to be drawing their fingers in the blood.

16th of July

9:45 o clock: A caller at the 2500 block of 11th Avenue reported that a man was holding a hatchet and was sitting on the curb.

Midday: A caller in the 3700 block of 10th Street reported that a customer became confrontational after attempting to return items without a receipt.

6.30 am: A woman on the 1900 block of 38th Avenue reported that she had a UTI and she thought she was having hallucinations that included bats dying in her backyard and a dog hiding under the bush.

8 p.m.: A caller at the 2400 block of 8th Avenue reported that a woman was walking in the middle of the street, brandishing a whistle.
