Confidence returned from the COVID-19 pause with a win over Georgetown at home and will now look to maintain it against a struggling Butler team.
The Bulldogs dropped three points in a row for a total of 26 points as they hit the road for a game against the Brothers preparing for an NCAA Tournament landing.
Here are the odds for the Big East match on Sunday afternoon from WynnBET Sportsbook.
Total: 127 (Above -110/Under -110)
It’s hard to say a lot of good things about Butler right now, and they’re running into a fresh and solid Providence team that has a physically large man Nate Watson down low and hopes to get the main defender. AJ Reeves is back.
The brothers played at a solid pace, but worked closely with Watson to create a lot of free throws (the 40% FT rate is fifth best in the country). They have disciplined perimeter defenses to challenge Butler’s shooter and to clear the glass.
I need to see something more from Butler before I start supporting them. The team dropped the rope twice against UConn in the past week, a team that mirrors the physicality of Providence, and I couldn’t see Butler catching up on this game.
I’ll wait for more news on Reeves, but this is Reliability or nothing from me.
LEAN: Proving -9
